I qualified as a dentist from Birmingham University in 1993 and moved to Ledbury in 1997, setting up Beacon DentalCare in Malvern in 2007. Most of my working day is spent looking after people who are scared of the dentist. I am proud to be a Dental Phobia Accredited Dentist.

My favourite thing about my job is giving people back the confidence to smile again after years of dental pain and crippling anxiety. Relatively simple dental procedures can make big improvements in peoples appearance and mouth health.

I am a member of the British Periodontal Society and have a special interest how general health, nutrition and gum health intersect. I also love how tooth whitening can make a big improvement in self confidence and give people huge smiles at any age!

I took up running in my 40s and you might well see me jogging around the streets of Worcestershire or Herefordshire . As a trustee for Malvern Community Action I take part in endurance events to raise money for the charity, my latest will be my first 50Km run in 2021!

I have 2 daughters, aged 13 and 20 who are very embarrassed about my other hobby as ‘Fool’ for Jenny Pipes Morris Dancers. I have been on TV 3 times as a result which they are keen to forget!
